An all-in-one salve for any outdoor, camping and nature enthusiast, or your home's herbal medicine cabinet, combining the healing properties of two plants that have been used medicinally for centuries.

Plantain can be found in herbal texts dating back to the 1390's, but is now commonly viewed as a weed in North America as it grows literally anywhere and everywhere. Its leaves have antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antiseptic and astringent properties, as well as being edible and rich in Vitamins A, C and K. Common Plantain (Plantago Major) leaves were used medicinally by Indigenous peoples to relieve toothaches, treat internal gastrointestinal problems, and for healing the bites or poisonous reptiles, insects and spiders. Topically, Plantain leaves can be used for skin infections, eczema, psoriasis, nettle and insect stings, bug bites, burns, cracked skin and cuts.

Northern Bedstraw (Gallium Boreale) is found in open woods, clearings, and meadows throughout the Boreal forest, circumpolar. All parts of the plant are commonly utilized: the young plants cooked and used as a potherb, leaves and roots to make teas and compresses, and the juice/tea used as a wash for skin problems including rashes, cuts, bites, sunburn, acne and eczema. Bedstraw has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and astringent properties, making it useful in oil or salve form for skin conditions.

Plantain leaves and flowering Bedstraw plants are hand-harvested during summer in northern Alberta, dried and solar-infused in organic extra virgin Olive oil for a minimum of 6 weeks before straining and combined with organic Alberta beeswax to make a salve.

Essential oil free. Safe for babies, children and during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
